Vacation!

Well,  I haven't blogged in a while, but here is something interesting and exiting!
My mom, my dad, and I are going on vacation! I'm SO exited! We are going to a ''Bay-House'' as we call it, a house like a beach house but right on the bay! I went there a couple of times before, but I don't remember it because I was so little. We will stay Friday night, Saturday, Sunday and Monday! It will be lots of fun! I'll have to post about it afterwards.

Der Fuehrer's Face

The song playing on my playlist by Spike Jones and his city slickers is called " Der Fuehrers face".
See if you can guess who der fuehrer is!
They are making fun of him, so don't think I think he's a hero--- YUCK!!! ( there is a clue in itself!)
Hint: WWII
Listen closely to the words. I'll write who der fuehrer is in a few days.
They mention his real name once.

Cookie Poll results

No-Bake cookies won the favorite cookie poll!
They got 7 votes, chocolate chip got 3, M&m's got 2 ,Oatmeal got 3, Not listed got 1,Plain Sugar With Pecans got 2.
My favorite is also No-Bake cookies!
( the word "got" is starting to look funny now :], weird how that happens!)

A very unusual day!

This morning my mom and Ms. Cori   went to a homeschool convention in Pensacola, Florida , so I went with my dad to get some bees out of a house.
The weather felt really good, until we had to "suit up" in long sleeved shirts, jeans and hats and veils. Then it was extremely hot!
My dad let me drink coffee on the way there, which is a special treat! I love coffee, but am hardly ever allowed to drink it, since there is what I consider an old wives tale, that coffee stunts your growth  :[
The house that we got the bees out of was right by a river, and had lots of boats around it. I counted 15 of them! What was really funny is that under the carport, where the bees were, the people who lived there were growing  corn, right under the carport in buckets! How funny is that!
Where the house was located is really neat, because although it is in a not-so-great area, it has a river running through the middle of the neighborhood!
While he was taking the bees out, my dad got some honey from a comb, and I ate it all, comb, honey, ants, and even bee legs! ( I tried to ignore the bee legs part! Gross!)
I ate too much of it and began to feel very sick. I got a waterbottle from the truck and then drank too much water and felt even worse. Finally, I took off my hat and veil again and, self-consciously swatted at a bee. A big mistake! I got stung right on the top of my head! I hit it with the waterbottle and got stung again, only in a different place, and by a different bee. They seem to gang up on a person sometimes! I quickly put the hat and veil on my head again!
I hadn't been stung in a few years, let alone two times in only one day! Ouch! It really doesn't hurt, it feels like a major mosquito bite really. It itched a ton when it first happened, but all it feels like now is slightly itchy.
Over all it was a good, but unusual day! It was very, very good to be able to spend time with my dad!

Bellingrath Gardens!

Today I went to Bellingrath Gardens with Kate and her family!
The gardens were free today, because it was the founder's birthday.
We walked and walked and it was VERY hot!
Somehow I lost my water bottle, too! There was a lot of fountains, so when we were almost done,
Kate, Jack,Mary and I put our feet in the water to cool off! We didn't really care as much that the water was all slimy with moss as we did before! It was very, very, very hot!
I wish I could have been able to take pic's of the flowers, plants  and fountains, but our camera didn't work :[  Here is a link where you can see pictures though!
be sure to click on " what's in bloom"
Even though it was so hot and humid, it was very fun!

Museum

Yesterday my family and I went with our friends the Callisons to the Museum Of Mobile.
The museum was really neat! They have a free day on the 1st Sunday of each month, and you can tour the whole museum! The museum is basically telling the history of Mobile, and they have traveling exhibits every so often.
The only thing is, they took out their dollhouse exhibit to put a horse racing exhibit :(
When there used to be dollhouses, I liked it better; they were HUGE!!!
Each was about up to my shoulder, and they were on stands. They had electricity also!
Hopefully they'll put them back in soon!
The next traveling exhibit will be about pirates! It comes in January 2009! That will be really cool!
