We finally have two computers again! Well, really, we've had two computers the whole time during the last few months, but since this is a new one, it just now got its filter. Hooray!
Perhaps now I can get back into the groove of blogging! I apologize for hardly ever posting!

Hmmm... what have we been doing lately...

Well, tomorrow I am going to a Reformation party at a friend's church, and we will be dressing up like the 1500s-- Calvin's time. I have never been to one before, since I was in Arizona last year when they did it, so this should be a lot of fun! My dad is going to play a part of one of Calvin's friends, and is going to wear a funny beard... :)

I have been reading a lot of stuff for school (doing a research paper about the Trail of Tears) so I haven't had much time to read just for fun, but I've managed to squeeze in some!
I've been reading the Hornblower series by C.S. Forester, and they're really good!
They're about a British naval officer named Horatio Hornblower during the Napoleonic era.

I also have been reading through Charles Spurgeon's How To Find Real Joy again. That is a very good book. I think it used to be called "The Joy Of The Lord" when it was first published.

Well, that's all I have time to write now! Hopefully I'll be able to put those Smokey Mt pictures on soon.

The Smokies

I'm going to post some pics soon, but until I can, isn't this picture pretty?

Smoky Mountains

The week before Labor Day, we went to the Smokies for a week!

Well, we were SUPPOSED to stay for a week! Our truck broke down, and we had to stay for four more days!

What was funny is that my mom said, just as we were leaving for the 1st time, on Labor Day, while we were discussing the trip, "Well, I could have stayed for about 3 more days."

We did.
Four days, three nights, but that's pretty close if you ask me! I was afraid we'd have to stay for my birthday! Thankfully, we only stayed 'til last Thursday, closely missing it.

We took lots of pictures, and I'll be sure to post them as soon as I possibly can!!!!

Oh, and I nearly forgot to say this--- I have never seen so many bears in the wild in my entire life as in one week!!!! I took pics of that especially.

Now why is it that moms and dads like to take pics of so-and-so standing by a really cool thing, instead of just the really cool thing?
Now me, I like to take pics of just the nature itself.
But if I was the only photographer, we'd probably have so little pics of people that when I was old, I'd forget what they looked like. That wouldn't be good!

Today I checked the mail, and saw in it a large envelope, the kind you put lots of paper and things in.
(My mom says it's called a manilla envelope, at any rate, I never get any of those :D )
I looked on the front, and lo and behold, there was Amy JoLynn Underwood written on it!
I saw that on the upper left-hand corner it said "Boykin Spaniel Society, SC" !!!

Inside was Buster's registration certificate, which I had sent for a few days ago!!!
I am very excited. Buster the Bronco is officially registered in the BSS!
